Our Story

Welcome to Figs & Olives!

        I’m Alexandrea, the owner of Figs & Olives Planning. I’ve been coordinating weddings and events since I was 19, when I first started helping friends plan their weddings and organizing events for my college. What began as a fun way to support the people around me quickly grew into a true passion.

       Within just a few years, I had helped plan, coordinate, and execute dozens of events. I genuinely love the planning process and enjoy bringing events of all sizes to life - from small, intimate weddings to large celebrations with more than 200 guests. 

        Over the years, I’ve gained valuable experience and knowledge that continue to help me provide thoughtful, attentive care to every client I work with. 

When I’m not at work, I’m usually in motion — cooking something on the stove, laughing with my husband, or chasing after my one-year-old. In the quieter moments, I gravitate toward creating: designing art, crocheting, and listening to music that feels like its own little escape. If you happen to find me in a coffee shop by Lake Michigan, I’ll likely be working steadily or lost in a favorite book — currently, Pride and Prejudice. And beside me will almost always be a brown sugar oat milk latte or a slightly sweetened iced oat milk matcha.
